Within the framework of the Human Rights Month initiative, the Institute of Law and Human Rights, in collaboration with the Executive Authority of Binagadi District, organized a legal awareness event for local youth.

On June 3, an information session entitled ‘Guarantees of Fundamental Human Rights and Freedoms in the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan’ was held with the participation of 32 young attendees.

The event commenced with an address by Ms. Sevinj Suleymanova, Deputy Head of the Binagadi District Executive Authority for Public and Humanitarian Affairs. In her remarks, Ms. Suleymanova expressed her deep appreciation for the initiatives carried out by the Institute of Law and Human Rights in this field and emphasized the essential role of legal awareness activities in advancing the protection of human rights.

Following the opening remarks, Ms. Vusala Muradkhanli, Head of the Department for Human Rights Training and Expertise at the Institute, together with Mr. Heydar Hasan oghlu Aliyev, a trainer-expert, delivered a comprehensive presentation to the participants. the presentation covered recent reforms undertaken in the field of human rights protection in Azerbaijan, along with ongoing efforts to strengthen and modernize the national legal framework.

Furthermore, the speakers elaborated on both national and international mechanisms for the protection of human rights and provided in-depth insights into the development and implementation of social, economic, and cultural rights.
