Recently, the Institute of Law and Human Rights has created a number of digital database systems and platforms for the purpose of developing legal culture, initiating legal awareness activities, as well as providing information to the public in a convenient and accessible manner.
The Institute of Law and Human Rights (Institute) has introduced the PASS platform, designed to gather insights pertaining to the practical implementation of legislation.
The Institute of Law and Human Rights launched a unified electronic database reflecting the publications, the teaching subjects, h-indexes, and other information of scholars and researchers in the legal science field.
On 7 May, the Institute of Law and Human Rights organized the official presentation ceremony of the www.e-huquqshunas.az legal information portal. The core mission is to promote the rule of law, enhance legal literacy, support the development of democratic values, and contribute to societal development through legal awareness-raising.
On April 24, the Institute of Law and Human Rights held an event dedicated to the 70th anniversaries of two distinguished members of its Expert Council who have made significant contributions to the development of legal science: Professor Rustam Mammadov, LLD, Professor, Head of the Department of Public International Law at the Faculty of Law of Baku State University, and Professor Kamil Salimov, LLD, Professor, Head of the Department of Criminalistics and Forensic Examination at the same faculty.
On April 17, 2026, an information session titled "Rules of Ethical Conduct for Judges and Lawyers" was held for candidates for judicial and bar candidates, legal professionals, attorneys, as well as legal specialists working in courts and other state institutions, jointly organized by the Judicial-Legal Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Institute of Law and Human Rights public legal entity.
The Institute of Law and Human Rights continues to implement consistent efforts at enhancing the international recognition of Azerbaijani legal scholars and improving h-index (Hirsch index) rankings, thereby making a significant contribution to the systematic development of this field nationwide.
On April 3, Mahammad Guluzade, Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Law and Human Rights, participated in the II International Conference on Family, Women, and Children’s Rights held in Ankara and, where he delivered a speech. The conference was organized by the Mersin Bar Association, Ankara University, Çağ University and the Injuria Law Platform.
On March 12, the Institute of Law and Human Rights hosted the presentation of the book “Criminal Penalties, Their Enforcement, Problems, and Solutions,” authored by Musa Humbatov, a legal scholar and member of the Institute’s Expert Council.
On March 3, the Institute of Law and Human Rights presented to the legal community its third Monitoring Report, reflecting the current state of journals publishing scholarly articles in the field of law. The report was compiled based on the results of an online survey conducted among a total of 764 legal professionals and 19 legal journals.
On February 27, the Institute of Law and Human Rights (the Institute) organized a training session on the “Legal Grounds for a Statement of Claim” for lawyers, legal professionals, and law students.
On February 17, the Institute of Law and Human Rights conducted the public presentation of the books “Women in the Shadow”, “Codes of Violence”, “Guidelines for Digital Monitoring in Combating Human Trafficking” and “National Training Module on Combating Human Trafficking”, prepared by Mehriban Zeynalova, Chairwoman of the “Təmiz Dünya” (“Clean World”) Aid to Women Public Union. These publications were compiled based on M.Zeynalova’s long-standing experience in the field of protecting women rights.
