Recently, the Institute of Law and Human Rights has created a number of digital database systems and platforms for the purpose of developing legal culture, initiating legal awareness activities, as well as providing information to the public in a convenient and accessible manner.
The Institute of Law and Human Rights (Institute) has introduced the PASS platform, designed to gather insights pertaining to the practical implementation of legislation.
The Institute of Law and Human Rights launched a unified electronic database reflecting the publications, the teaching subjects, h-indexes, and other information of scholars and researchers in the legal science field.
On March 14, the Institute of Law and Human Rights organized an online information session on “The Rights of Persons with Disabilities”.
“Approximately one-third of the Constitution is devoted directly to the establishment and protection of human rights and freedoms (Articles 24-71),” stated Vusala Muradkhanli, Head of the Department, at the information session organized by the Institute of Law and Human Rights for youth on February 28.

‘The right to personal freedom ensures every individual’s ability to live in safety and equality. Any restriction of freedom must be based on lawful principles, and no violations of this right are acceptable’. These principles were articulated on December 25, 2024, during a training session organized by the Institute of Law and Human Rights in collaboration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) at the Nizami District Police Department.
The Institute of Law and Human Rights has created a new video presentation focused on protecting the rights of domestic violence victims. This presentation aims to enhance legal knowledge in combating domestic violence and provide support to victims.
On December 21 of the current year, the final stage of the Second Legal Olympiad titled ‘Victorious Azerbaijan’, dedicated to the birthday of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, His Excellency Mr. Ilham Aliyev, was successfully conducted. On December 6, a roundtable discussion was convened at the initiative of the Center for Legal Expertise and Legislative Initiatives (the Center) and the Institute of Law and Human Rights (the Institute) to examine the draft Scientific and Practical Commentary to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan, ‘On Ensuring the Rights and Freedoms of Persons Confined in Places of Detention’.
