Institute of Law and Human Rights Conducted a Presentation at Nakhchivan State University

On December 2, Institute of Law and Human Rights held a comprehensive presentation at Nakhchivan State University dedicated to legal awareness, modern digital innovations, and newly published materials. The event, which holds particular importance for introducing the Institute’s activities, its legal awareness initiatives, and the new opportunities created by digitalization in the field of human rights to the younger generation, featured the presentation of the Institute’s new publication dedicated to Victory Day, “The Victorious Path to Sovereignty: Implemented Ideas, Legal Foundations, Political Parallels,” to the university community.

Training Conducted for Municipal Representatives in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic

The Institute of Law and Human Rights, a public legal entity (hereinafter ‘the Institute’) organized its next training on municipal activities on December 1 in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The training, titled “The Human Rights Aspect in Municipal Activities,” was held jointly by the Institute and the Municipal Affairs Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

Three New Publications on International Law and Criminal Procedure Law Officially Presented to the Public

On November 21, the Institute of Law and Human Rights, a public legal entity (hereinafter ‘the Institute’) hosted a presentation ceremony to introduce three newly published works by Dr. Matanat Asgarova, Doctor of Law and Head of the Department of Criminal Procedure, Criminalistics and Forensic Examination at the Justice Academy of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan. During the event, the following volumes were presented to a broad audience: International Law (General Part) (“Beynəlxalq hüquq”, Ümumi hissə), Criminal Procedure Law (Vol. I General Part) («Уголовно-процессуальное право», I том, Общая часть), and Criminal Procedure Law (Vol. II, Special Part) («Уголовно-процессуальное право», II том, Особенная часть).

Training Session Held for Interior and Health Ministry Personnel

On October 23, the Institute of Law and Human Rights, a public legal entity (hereinafter, the ‘Institute’) organized a training session entitled ‘Ensuring the Rights and Freedoms of Persons Confined in Places of Detention’. The event brought together 24 officials representing the Main Public Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as the Republican Psychiatric Hospital and the Republican Narcology Center under the Ministry of Health.

177 Municipal Representatives Take Part In Human Rights Training Series

A series of awareness-raising training sessions titled ‘The Human Rights Dimension in Municipal Governance’ was held from 19 September to 13 October this year. The sessions were jointly undertaken by the Main Department for Work with Municipalities of the Ministry of Justice and the Institute of Law and Human Rights.

A training session on Raising Legal Awareness organized for employees of the Ministry of Defense

Raising legal awareness in the field of human rights plays an important role. As part of its ongoing efforts, the Institute of Law and Human Rights (public legal entity) organized training on July 21 for personnel from the Military Police Department of the Ministry of Defense’s Internal Security and Investigation Main Directorate. The topic of the session was “Ensuring the Rights and Freedoms of Persons Held in Detention.”

Training session held for employees of the Penitentiary Service and the State Migration Service

On July 18, the Institute of Law and Human Rights public legal entity (Institute) conducted a training session for a total 21 employees of the Penitentiary Service and the State Migration Service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan.  The topic of the session was “On Ensuring the Rights and Freedoms of Persons Confined in Places of Detention”.
