Recently, the Institute of Law and Human Rights has created a number of digital database systems and platforms for the purpose of developing legal culture, initiating legal awareness activities, as well as providing information to the public in a convenient and accessible manner.
The Institute of Law and Human Rights (Institute) has introduced the PASS platform, designed to gather insights pertaining to the practical implementation of legislation.
The Institute of Law and Human Rights launched a unified electronic database reflecting the publications, the teaching subjects, h-indexes, and other information of scholars and researchers in the legal science field.
On July 8, the Institute of Law and Human Rights (public legal entity) held the presentation of the scientific and practical commentary on the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan ‘On Ensuring the Rights and Freedoms of Persons Confined in Places of Detention’.
On June 11, Mr. Vafaddin Ibayev, Vice Chairman of the Board of the Institute and PhD in Law, participated in an event entitled ‘The Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan as a Fundamental Legal Foundation for the Protection of Sovereignty and Human Rights’, held at the Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
On June 4, 2025, an awareness-raising lecture on the topic “Police Activities and Human Rights Protection” was conducted by the Institute of Law and Human Rights at the Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. 60 cadets of the Police Academy participated in the lecture organized by the Institute as a part of the Human Rights Month, observed from May 18 to June 18.
Within the framework of the Human Rights Month initiative, the Institute of Law and Human Rights, in collaboration with the Executive Authority of Binagadi District, organized a legal awareness event for local youth.
“Protecting children's rights requires a collective effort, not just from the state, but from all individuals.” This message was emphasized at an event organized by the Institute of Law and Human Rights in recognition of International Children's Day on June 1.
On May 30, the Institute of Law and Human Rights conducted an information session for students of the Baku State Vocational Education Center for Public Catering and Service on the topic ‘Guarantees of Fundamental Human Rights and Freedoms in the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan’. The event was organized within the framework of the Human Rights Month initiative, which runs from May 18 to June 18. A total of 54 students participated in the session.
As part of the Human Rights Month, being held from May 18 to June 18, the Institute of Law and Human Rights organized an information session titled ‘Human Rights and the Environment’ for 52 staff members of the Institute of Radiation Problems, operating under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
As part of the officially declared 2025” Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty” and the” Human Rights Month” held from May 18 to June 18, the Institute of Law and Human Rights organized a series of awareness-raising lectures at secondary schools in Qakh District.
On April 28, the Institute of Law and Human Rights, within the framework of the ‘Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty’, convened an educational event at the initiative of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
On April 25, within the framework of the "Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty," the Media Development Agency, in cooperation with the Institute of Law and Human Rights, organized an information session for media representatives operating in Nakhchivan on the topic: “The Constitution as the Supreme Legal Document: Ensuring Fundamental Human Rights and Freedoms in the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan”.
