Our legal researcher delivered a speech at the republican scientific conference

I.M.Aliyev, a legal researcher of the Legal Studies Department of the Institute of Law and Human Rights, made a speech at the republican   scientific conference held by the Institute of History and Ethnology named after A.A. Bakikhanov of ANAS on the topic “Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic - 100 years: achievements and prospects”.

In his report covering “the activities of law enforcement agencies in the Nakhchivan ASSR in the 1920s and 1930s” I.M.Aliyev noted that “Stalin's repressions caused great losses not only to intelligentsia but also to our national culture”. As a result of the forensic investigation, it was determined that Borshov falsified more than 120 criminal cases, dashnaks with surnames Markaryan and Grigoryan - up to 100, and Yemelyanov falsified 39 criminal cases. The gaps in the legislation of that time caused these criminals to evade the justice of the law. They were dashnaks with Armenian surnames who worked in the villages and cities of Nakhchivan ASSR, in law enforcement agencies and carried out the malicious will of the communist party”.

The report was also published in the collection of materials of the conference “Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic - 100 years: achievements and prospects”.
