On 7 May, the Institute of Law and Human Rights organized the official presentation ceremony of the www.e-huquqshunas.az legal information portal. The core mission is to promote the rule of law, enhance legal literacy, support the development of democratic values, and contribute to societal development through legal awareness-raising.

Welcoming the participants, Mr. Mahammad Guluzade, Chairman of the Board of the Institute, emphasized the significance of the new platform and noted that the e-huquqshunas.az portal would create broad opportunities for the systematic and comprehensive presentation of legal information. He stated that the platform, developed in line with contemporary requirements, would serve as an innovative resource ensuring the prompt, reliable, and comprehensive provision of legal information. According to Mahammad Guluzade, e-huquqshunas.az is not merely an information platform, but also a modern intellectual environment where legal knowledge is consolidated within a single space. He further stressed that the launch of the portal represents an important step towards improving access to legal information will contribute significantly to more efficient information exchange among legal professionals, state institutions, and experts in the field, strengthen cooperation, and support the more flexible and integrated development of the country’s legal ecosystem.

Araz Poladov, Head of the Legislation Development Sector of the Legislation and Legal Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, highly commended the Institute’s consistent and purposeful activities in the field of legal awareness-raising, as well as the extensive legal resources it has developed. He underlined that the newly launched portal is a logical continuation of these initiatives. It was also noted that such projects contribute to making legal resources available to a broader audience and expanding public access to legal information.

It should be emphasized that the portal was established at the initiative of the Center for Legal Examination and Legislative Initiatives and is administered by the Institute of Law and Human Rights, which operates under the Center.

During the presentation, participants were provided with detailed information regarding the portal’s functionality, user capabilities, and future development directions.

The event was attended by representatives of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Cabinet of Ministers, the Milli Majlis, the Supreme Court, the Judicial-Legal Council, the Constitutional Court, Commissioner for Human Rights, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Justice, the Bar Association, and media organizations. In addition, faculty members of law schools at higher education institutions, as well as legal professionals, participated in the event

As part of the presentation, participants shared their views and suggestions regarding the portal’s activities and discussed prospects for its future development.
