On November 18, an employee of our Institute, Idris Zakirov, took part in “Summit on Digital Diplomacy and Governance” online.
President of the Swiss Confederation, Ignazio Cassis, Prime Minister of Malta, Dr. Robert Abela, Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General on Technology Amandeep Singh Gill and others spoke at the opening of the summit. A video message from Microsoft President Mr. Brad Smith to the summit participants was also displayed.
The summit, which was attended online by 75 people from around the world, digital diplomacy and governance, artificial intelligence, e-commerce, cyber security and other issues shaping our digital future were analyzed. The meeting included extensive discussions on the promotion of human rights in the field of governance, the rights of children and the protection of the rights of future generations, including ongoing negotiations on the Global Digital Compact.
The event, in addition to the listed participants, was attended by members of the diplomatic corps, academicians, technologists, representatives of NGOs and media.
