The Institute continued conducting trainings for lawyers on Articles 3 and 6 of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). 

The next training was held in Guba within the framework of joint cooperation with the Council of Europe Directorate General of Human Rights and Rule of Law.

In her presentation, trainer Vusala Muradkhanli informed the participants about the essence of Article 3 of the ECHR, the position of the European Court in relevant decisions, as well as the need for the role of law enforcement agencies and the court in investigating cases of torture. and inhumane treatment. Legal expert Vafaddin Ibayev presented to the audience an extensive analysis of legal violations identified during torture, inhuman or degrading treatment and punishment, and the ways to eliminate them.

As a result of such trainings, it is expected to be guided by the experience of the European Court in investigating allegations of torture and inhuman treatment in our country. The solution of the legal cases was carried out with the participants in groups, and the training was evaluated. At the end, 19 training participants were awarded with certificates.
