On October 31, 2019, with the joint organization of the Institute of Law and Human Rights of ANAS, the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, they held a conference on the theme “Religion and Human Rights”. At this event, Nazim Jafarli, Deputy Director of the Institute of Law and Human Rights of ANAS, Doctor of Law, spoke on "The fundamental principles of the Islamic religion and human rights" and described in detail the work carried out at the Institute.
