An article by Sevinj Huseynova, an employee of our Institute, “Public danger and the legal nature of environmental crimes” was published. The article was prepared based on the materials of the scientific-theoretical conference on the topic “Modern theoretical and practical approaches to the protection of human rights and freedoms in the 21st century”, dedicated to the 99th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, and held by the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In this article, the quantitative characteristic of the public danger of environmental crimes and the issues of legal essence are expressed in the degree of public danger of these crimes. The author shows that the composition of an environmental crime serves as the basis for environmental criminal liability, provides a description crime, the choice of the type and measure of punishment by the body administering justice, and also serves to protect the rights and freedoms of citizens, to protect and observe the rule of law.
