Structural unit: Department of Information Technology

 

Activities of the Department:

·        provides computer and network equipment management;

·        creates the Institute’s information and software system and ensure its smooth functioning;

·        improves information and communication technologies and software;

·        ensures information security, assess risks in these areas and carry out regular monitoring;

·        creates and monitor the Institute’s database;

·    organizes the management of computers and access control systems in the structural units of the Institute, provides control over the computer I/O ports and e-mail addresses;

·        organizes the improvement of the use of the Institute’s Internet services and organize electronic document circulation;

·     ensures the operability of information systems, technical equipment available in the structural unites of the Institute and the elimination of technical malfunctions, intra-system and intersystem breakdowns, freezes and errors; interacts with relevant persons (individual and legal entities) in order to repair or replace technical parts of existing network equipment, including to carry out preventive measures;

·        provides technical assistance to employees when using computers.

 

Position: Information Technology Specialist

 

Job description:

·        ensure installation, configuration and maintenance of computer operating systems, server and network equipment of the Institute;

·        organize and provide technical support on general-purpose software, computer and office equipment to computer users of the Institute's apparatus;

·      determine the parameters of computers, servers and network equipment and their software to be purchased for the activities of the Institute, and carry out the determination of technical requirements;

·   conduct regular monitoring and analysis of information systems, develop proposals to address these issues, eliminate identified problems and malfunctions;

·        perform work on creation and support of local and global networks of the Institute;

·     take measures to ensure information security in the Institute's information systems, reduce the impact of accidents and errors, as well as eliminate their consequences;

·    organize the use of the Internet and Internet services of the Institute, as well as carry out work related to the activities of electronic document circulation; provide support in order to ensure the uninterrupted use of the Institute’s information systems;

·        organize the service of the existing software, organizational technical means of the Institute and ensure their operability;

·        provide practical assistance to the staff of the Institute in the field of information technology and ensure installation of software and hardware.

 

Requirements for the candidate:

 

Requirements for Education: Higher Education in Information Technology, Information Technology and Systems Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Process Automation Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science Teaching, Computer Science Teaching, Information Security.

Experience Requirement: 3 years of work experience in the relevant field.

 

Requirements for computer skills:

·    server equipment HP ProLiant, Dell PowerEdge and network equipment Switch (L2, L3), Access Point, Router (Cisco, Ubiquiti, MikroTik, etc.) installation and debugging;

·        installation, debugging and management of server operating systems (Windows Server (AD, DNS, RDS, GPO), Linux);

·        experience with the Exchange server;

· installation and debugging of various operating systems and software (Microsoft Windows 7/8/8.1/10/11), Microsoft Office 2003/2007/2010/2013/2016/2019, etc. debugging printers and troubleshooting problems that may occur with peripheral devices;

·        experience in working with electronic document circulation, ability to work with corporate Mail (Microsoft Outlook, etc.).

 

Language skills: Azerbaijani (English is required at B 2 level, Russian is desirable).

 

Personal characteristics:

·        having positive qualities such as responsibility, integrity and reliability;

·        ability to communicate well and work in a team.
