Training Held for Law Students and Legal Professionals at the Institute of Law and Human Rights
On December 4, the Institute of Law and Human Rights organized an educational training session of particular significance for the legal community. The event, dedicated to the topic ‘Protection of Property Rights and Property Rights in the Context of the European Convention on Human Rights’, brought together law students from higher education institutions and practicing legal professionals. A total of 17 participants received the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the implementation and protection of property rights within the framework of international legal standards.
Delivering the opening remarks, Mr. Vafaddin Ibayev, Deputy Chair of the Institute’s Board, presented an extensive overview of the established legislative framework applicable to property rights, the legal limits of state intervention, and the approach of the European Court of Human Rights on issues pertaining to this area. He highlighted that such training sessions are crucial for enhancing the capacity of young legal professionals to apply theoretical knowledge in practice.
Training experts Mr. Hamlet Babayev and Mr. Heydar Hasan oglu Aliyev delivered interactive presentations outlining the conceptual framework of property rights, available mechanisms for their protection, as well as the analysis and legal implications of judgments issued by the European Court of Human Rights.
During the practical module of the program, participants engaged in the discussions of hypothetical cases. By examining case studies, they reviewed disputed issues concerning the implementation of property rights and advanced well-substantiated legal assessments. The session concluded with the awarding of certificates to all participants.
