The Institute of Law and Human Rights Presented New Publications

On January 30, the Institute of Law and Human Rights hosted a presentation of two new books, "Theory of Law" and "What Is Law?".

Authored by Ali Gadimov, a lecturer at the Department of General Law at Nakhchivan State University, the publications present law not only as a system of norms and rules, but also as a multifaceted concept closely linked to society’s system of social values.

Mahammad Guluzade, Chairman of the Institute’s Board, emphasized that the new publications would contribute to the development of legal culture and strengthen public trust in law. He noted that the author’s scholarly approach meets the requirements of modern legal education and that the books are of significant scientific and educational value. M. Guluzade also underlined that the Institute consistently supports scientific initiatives aimed at advancing legal science.

Amir Aliyev, member of the Bar Association, Doctor of Legal Sciences and Professor, described both books as important academic publications in the field of legal education. He highlighted the successful integration of the author’s clear and accessible language with a strong academic style.

Among the presented works "Theory of Law" consists of two main parts. The first part systematically examines the essence and concept of law, its principles and norms, legal facts, as well as the structure of the legal system. The second part provides an in-depth analysis of legal relations, mechanisms for the application of law, legal consciousness and legal culture, legal responsibility, and the relationship between law and social change.

The book "What Is Law?" explores the reasons for the emergence of law, its role in society, its interaction with the concept of justice, and its influence on human behavior as its central thematic focus. At the same time, the publication interprets law as a form of social agreement, ethical responsibility, and an expression of public conscience.

The event brought together legal professionals from state institutions, legal scholars, lawyers, mediators, law students, and other participants.
