On 20 November 2023, an online meeting themed “National Implementation Strategy and Action Plan of the Working Group on the enforcement of resolutions and judgments of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) by the Republic of Azerbaijan” was held within the framework of the project of the Council of Europe (CoE) entitled “Support for the improvement of the execution of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) judgments by Azerbaijan”. 

Mahir Mushteidzade, head of the unit of the Directorate General Human Rights and Rule of Law, and Habib Abdullayev, head of the Human Rights Protection sector of the department for work with Law Enforcement Bodies of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, delivered a welcoming speech at the meeting.

The online event was attended by the vice-chair of the Board of the Institute Uzeyir Mammadov and the head of the Human Rights Training and Expertise Department Vusala Muradkhanli.

During the discussions, the international consultants of the Council of Europe (CoE) touched upon the establishment of an effective legislative framework, the proper and forehanded execution of court judgments, the organization of internal control, and other matters.
