Recruiting institution:” Institute of Law and Human Rights" public legal entity

Structural unit: Human Rights Training and Expertise Department

Activities of the Department:

·       participates in legal education activities;

·       participates in the formation of legal consciousness in the Republic of Azerbaijan;

·       studies and promotes the practice of the activities of mechanisms for the international protection of human rights;

·       conducts trainings to develop knowledge, skills and competence of employees of state bodies (institutions);

·       organizes and conducts trainings on human rights issues for students majoring in jurisprudence;

·       helps graduate lawyers to acquire practical skills based on internships;

·       participates in the examination of bills through the prism of human rights and in the preparation of reviews.

Position: Trainer-expert

Job description:

·       develop training modules in the field of Law, including human rights;

·       conduct trainings in the relevant field to develop the knowledge, skills and competence of employees of state bodies (institutions);

·       conduct trainings in the relevant field for students majoring in jurisprudence;

·       conduct remote trainings in the relevant field using contemporary digital technological solutions;

·   develop a methodology for assessing the knowledge of listeners and to carry out methodological and organizational work in the direction of its improvement;

·       participate in the elaboration of proposals in the direction of studying of training needs;

·       participate in providing listeners with training materials (textbooks, course materials, methodical guidelines, lectures, practicums);

·       participate in the conduct of legal education, as well as in informing the public about the content and essence of legal reforms, to prepare materials for this purpose;

·       participate in the examination of bills through the prism of human rights and in the preparation of reviews;

·    regularly monitor decisions and reports of international human rights institutions and international non-governmental organizations on relevant branches of law and legislation, especially in regard to Azerbaijan, and prepare relevant references;

·       support the assessment of the regulatory impact of draft legal acts and the legal acts in force prepared in the relevant branches of Law;

·       consider applications received by the department and respond to them in accordance with the established procedure.

Requirements for the candidate: Higher Education in Jurisprudence, work experience in the legal field for at least 3 years and serving as a trainer in the relevant field for at least 3 years.

Language skills: Azerbaijani (English is required at B 2 level, Russian is desirable);

Requirements for computer skills:

·       Using MS Office programs – Intermediate level;

·       Internet use – Intermediate level;

·       Making slides using Microsoft Office PowerPoint.

·       ability to conduct trainings in the legal field;

·       having positive qualities such as responsibility, integrity and reliability;

·       ability to communicate well and work in a team;

·       ability to bring forward efficient initiatives;

·       ability to manage time effectively.
