The Institute held another information session for media representatives operating in Nakhchivan within the framework of the “Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty”

On April 25, within the framework of the "Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty," the Media Development Agency, in cooperation with the Institute of Law and Human Rights, organized an information session for media representatives operating in Nakhchivan on the topic: “The Constitution as the Supreme Legal Document: Ensuring Fundamental Human Rights and Freedoms in the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan”.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the event, Vafa Isgandarova, Head of the Nakhchivan Regional Office of the Media Development Agency, emphasized that the main purpose of holding the session was to increase journalists' legal knowledge and expand educational activities related to constitutional foundations. She further emphasized that complying with legislative requirements in information dissemination and organizing activities within the legal framework are of great importance for society and the state, thereby rendering the organization of such sessions particularly significant.

During the event, trainer-experts from the Institute of Law and Human Rights, Zumrud Alizade and Heydar Hasan oghlu Aliyev, delivered presentations providing detailed information about universal human rights, the fundamental rights and freedoms enshrined in the 1995 Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the guarantee of human and citizen rights, as well as national and international human rights protection mechanisms.

The session proceeded in an interactive format, allowing for extensive dialogue and exchange of views with the participants, and their questions were answered.
