On July 12, Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Law and Human Rights Mahammad Guluzade met with the Head of Azerbaijan Resident Mission at Asian Development Bank, Ms. Candice McDeigan.

 

The meeting held within the framework of bilateral cooperation were also attended by Sabina Yusifova, Senior Project Officer at Asian Development Bank, and Ilgar Agasiev, Head of Communications and International Relations Department of the Institute.

 

M. Guluzade gave extensive information about the activities of the Institute and spoke in detail about trainings conducted by the Institute for employees of state institutions and representatives of local executive bodies.

 

At the meeting, the parties discussed issues of economic empowerment of women, promotion of gender equality and joint cooperation in the field of preventing domestic violence, and also analyzed mechanisms for improving the legal environment for the development of women's entrepreneurship and improving women's employment. At the same time, the participants of the meeting had an exchange of views related with protecting the rights of women and raising awareness in this particular area.
