On October 26, within the framework of the 100th anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, there was held a court simulation “Expected trial” dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Faculty of Law at Baku State University.

At the event our Institute was represented by the Deputy Chairman of Board of the Institute, Uzeyir Mammadov and our legal researcher Galander Isbandiyarov.

During the simulation, the organizers demonstrated the possibility of holding a trial in absentia by referring to international experience, norms of international and national law (Article 311.2.1 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan). Accusations related to the possibility of consideration of international criminals in a national court were also discussed.
