An article “Formation and development of ideas about the right to health in antiquity and the Middle Ages” of the legal researcher of our Istitute, Zamik Aslanov has been  published. The article was included in the collection of materials of the scientific-theoretical conference of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan “Modern theoretical and practical approaches to the protection of human rights and freedoms in the 21st century”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of   national leader Heydar Aliyev, for April 19, 2023. 

The article analyzes issues related to the history of the formation and development of ideas about the right to health in antiquity and the Middle Ages. In the study, the right to health is characterized as a socio-historical category. The author shows the characteristic features of approaches to the right to health both in antiquity and in the Middle Ages. The article also emphasizes the importance of studying and considering the historical experience in this area in terms of solving the problems of modern medical legislation.
