On October 31, the inaugural 2022 FAO Law Lecture Legal reflections on “Leave no one behind. Better production, better nutrition, a better environment & a better life” webinar dedicated to the World Food Day was held on the Zoom platform. 
FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) is a specialized agency that leads international efforts to defeat hunger.
The webinar organized by the institution was hosted by Philippe Sands, an international law expert who has worked as a counsel and advocate in many international courts and tribunals, Professor of Law, Director of the Center on International Courts and Tribunals at University College London, author of seventeen books on International law.
The webinar discussed International law and food, International law and fisheries, the UN resolution on food law, the goals of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, protecting human health and the environment, the impact of food production and consumption on climate change, as well as the impact of the Covid 19 virus on nutrition.
