On January 30, the Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Law and Human Rights, Mr. Mahammad Guluzade, held a meeting with the Chairman of the Central Asia Consortium of Mediators, Mr. Zhandilda Zhakupov, and the Chairman of the Board of the Mediation Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Nadir Adilov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation issues, including strengthening the exchange of expertise in the field of mediation, implementing joint initiatives, and enhancing legal and social collaboration between the institutions.

The discussion also addressed the importance of the ‘Singapore Convention on Mediation’, which regulates key aspects of the mediation process. The convention highlights the mechanisms for the direct enforcement of settlement agreements reached through mediation. Furthermore, the significance of promoting close co-operation and mutual support among mediation organizations of Turkic-speaking states was underscored.
