According to the decision 191 of the Presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences dated 28 August 2012, Azerbaijani citizens (who have a master’s degree or its equivalent) are admitted to doctoral programs on the basis of competitive examinations.

The following documents should be presented for the admission to doctoral programs:

• Application (addressed to the head of the Institute);

• Personal data sheet of the staff;

• Biography;

• Job reference;

• 3 photos (in 3x4 cm size);

• Work book excerpt for those who have work experience;

• List of published scientific works or abstract on chosen specialty;

• A copy of the diploma, confirmed according to the rules (those who have studied abroad should present a certificate confirming the recognition of educational documents);

• A copy of the certificate of identity.

Those who want to be admitted to the doctoral programs should pass specialty, foreign language and philosophy exams within the curricula of master’s level education.

The documents for the admission to doctoral programs will be accepted between 1st and and 30th of September.

The entrance examinations will begin in October.
