The Supreme Court and the Federal Council of Justice of Mexico awarded with a gratitude letter researcher of the Institute on Law and Human Rights of ANAS

On September 10-12, 2018 by the invitation of the chairman of the Supreme Court and the Federal Council of Justice of Mexico, Luis María Aguilar Morales, the Vice-President of the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ), head of the International Law Department of the Institute on Law and Human Rights of ANAS, Ramin Gurbanov participated at the international seminar “Judge and the Rule of Law in Modern Democracies” in Mexico.
The researcher of our Institute representing the interests of the Council of Europe spoke in section III “The Judiciary and its attitude to society” and reported about the activities of CEPEJ, its role in increasing the efficiency and quality of justice in Europe. At the same time, he informed about the use of information technologies in European courts, in particular the positive impact of “Foreseeable Justice” and “Artificial Intelligence” on the availability of appeals to the court, ensuring transparency and increasing effectiveness in the work of justice.
Within the framework of the cooperation between the Council of Europe and Mexico, R. Gurbanov held a bilateral meeting with the chairman of the Supreme Court and the Federal Council of Justice, where he presented the scientific publications of CEPEJ and discussed closer cooperation.
On behalf of the Supreme Court and the Federal Council of Justice of Mexico R. Gurbanov was awarded with gratitude letter for his contribution to the international seminar.
