On September 27, the Institute of Law and Human Rights held a half-day training for lawyers on “Environmental protection and the case law of the European Court”. A training session started with the welcoming speech of the Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Institute, Vafaddin Ibayev. After that, the honorable memory of the martyrs who died in the battles for our republic's sovereignty and territorial integrity was commemorated with a minute of silence.

At the training, the participants discussed topics on ensuring ecological safety in the field of protection of the environmental balance, prevention of harmful effects of economic and other activities on natural ecological systems, damage to the health and property of citizens as a result of violation of the legislation on environmental protection, including damage to the environment in territories liberated from occupation, biological preservation of diversity, the case law of the European Court and other issues as well.

Furthermore, the Institute's expert trainers Mr. Hamlet Babayev and Mr. Heydar Hasan oglu Aliyev, delivered presentations on Article 2 (Right to Life) and Article 8 (Right to respect for your private and family life) of the European Convention on Human Rights.
