The Institute held an information session dedicated to “International Children's Day”

“Protecting children's rights requires a collective effort, not just from the state, but from all individuals.” This message was emphasized at an event organized by the Institute of Law and Human Rights in recognition of International Children's Day on June 1.

On June 2, an information session was held at the Institute of Law and Human Rights with the participation of 25 students aged between 13 and 18.

During the event, Aygun Arifli, a legal researcher of the Institute, delivered information to the participants about children's rights as reflected in national legislation and international legal acts, she also explained the types of physical, psychological, and economic exploitation and the consequences they cause.

The session highlighted information on the importance of preventive measures in protecting children's rights, the work being done to prevent existing violations, and how children should protect themselves, along with practical examples.

At the end of the event, students  received guidance on how to protect their children's rights and increase their legal knowledge, and they were presented with certificates of participation.
