With the support of the Council of Europe, a two-day seminar on the topic “Global climate change in the national context” was held

Senior Researcher of the Institute of Law and Human Rights of ANAS Esmira Orudzheva took part in a two-day seminar on the topic “Global climate change in the national context”, held by the United Nations Development Program with the support of the Council of Europe.
The event, organized outdoors in accordance with the rules of combating the Covid-19 pandemic, considered the relationship of climate change with society and development, the impact on the country's economy, vulnerable groups, damage to people, and most importantly, the lifestyle and health of women and children, scientific aspects of the consequences.
Interesting discussions were held on such important topics as "civic education and climate change", "gender trend as a sphere of struggle for energy resources", "women as an economically active group in climate change", "orientation of climate change towards the values of healthy lifestyles for young people".
Esmira Orujeva spoke in the direction of” The impact of climate change on vulnerable groups, the national context after the pandemic " in connection with the negative impact of climate change on the health and lifestyle of refugees and internally displaced persons who were forcibly forced to change their place of residence during the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and also presented recommendations for exploring ways out of the situation.
