On November 7, a joint event dedicated to Victory Day and State Flag Day was held by the Departments of Humanitarian and Social Sciences of the Presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), together with the Trade Union of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS). The event was attended by the chairman of the Trade Union Organization of the Institute of Law and Human Rights Leila Mammadova, the chairmen of the trade union committees and women’s councils of scientific institutions and organizations of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).

The event was organized on the occasion of the 3^rd anniversary of the Victory in the 44-day Patriotic War (Karabakh War II) and the State Flag Day in order to congratulate and reward the employees of the mentioned organizations, who are contemporaneously also the veterans and war participants of the Patriotic War.

Two veteran employees of the Institute, who participated in Karabakh War II for the freedom and sovereignty of our Motherland – the trainer of the Human Rights Training and Expertise Department Amrah Rahimli, and the programmer of the IT Department Anar Gojayev were awarded by the Trade Union Organization of the Institute at the event.

At the end, the President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), academician Isa Habibbayli congratulated all participants of the Patriotic War on the Great Victory Day, and a commemorative group photograph was taken on that occasion.
