Ph.D., Associate Professor in Law Aydin Aliyev

Aydin Aliyev was born on May 20, 1948 in the city of Beylagan. He graduated from secondary school in 1966, Azerbaijan Polytechnic Institute (now Azerbaijan Technical University) in 1974, and Law Faculty of Odessa State University in 1983. Starting from 1971, he worked in various positions in internal affairs bodies, first in Baku, then in Odessa, Ukraine. He served in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 1993-1997, and in the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 1997-1999. He is a war veteran.

 

In 2003, he entered to the Institute of Philosophy and Political-Legal Studies of ANAS. In 2010, he defended his candidate's dissertation on “Criminal-legal problems of combating acts committed against military service” in the specialty “Criminal law and criminology: penal-executive law”. He is Doctor of Philosophy in Law, Associate Professor. In 2005-2016, he was engaged in scientific activity at the Institute of Philosophy and Law, and in 2016-2022 at the Institute of Law and Human Rights. He is the author of more than 40 scientific articles, 3 monographs, 2 translated books, and several memory books.
