Ph.D. in Political Science, Associate Professor Moisei Becker

Moisei Becker was born on March 19th, 1944, in Baku. In 1962-1967, he studied at the Faculty of Philology of Azerbaijan State University.

In 1968, he worked as an archive manager in “Azkimyatikintimontajtəmir” trust, in 1969, as an editor of the Publishing Department in the Main Department of Agricultural Sciences and propaganda of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Azerbaijan SSR, and, in 1974-1992, he worked in the publishing house “Elm” of the Academy of Sciences of the Azerbaijan SSR.

In 1992, he worked at the normative-research station of “Xəzərdənizneftqaz” (PU), and, in 1993-1994, he taught history at secondary school No. 15 in Baku.

In 1994-2001, he was chairman of the Board of the Religious Community of European Jews.

In 1999, he was elected a member of the Political Council at the first congress of the New Azerbaijan Party.

In 2007-2022, he was engaged in scientific activities at the Institute of Law and Human Rights of ANAS. He is a Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science and author of 5 books and more than 60 articles.
