Namig Ibrahimli

Namiq Ibrahimli was born in 1977 in the city of Lachin. He completed his secondary education at Lachin District Secondary School No. 4 (1984–1994) and later graduated with a degree in International Relations and International Law from Baku State University (1994–1998). He further pursued legal studies at the university's Faculty of Law, obtaining a degree in 2008.

From 1998 to 2012, N. Ibrahimli held various positions within the National Depository Center of the State Labor Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, specializing in legal and audit expertise as well as the normative-legal support of privatization. He subsequently advanced to the State Property Committee, serving as a specialist and later as head of a sector within the Legal Department. In recognition of his service, he was awarded the rank of 2nd-degree state civil servant.

From 2012 to 2017, he held various positions within the State Control Service for Technical Regulation and Standardization under the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology, and Patents of the Republic of Azerbaijan. He also served as the Head of the Legal Department at the State Agency for Land Management Organization under the State Committee on Property Issues of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

From 2017 to 2023, he was appointed as the Head of the Department for the Examination and Execution of Applications and later as the Head of the Legal Department at the Regional Development Public Union of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Since 2023, he has served as the Head and Senior Specialist of the Eastern Zangezur Regional Branch of the Union.

From February 1, 2023, to October 3, 2024, he worked as a Legal Researcher in the Legal Studies Department of the Institute of Law and Human Rights.

Since October 5, 2024, he has been serving as a member of the Expert Council of the Institute of Law and Human Rights public legal entity.

During the Second Karabakh War, N. Ibrahimli served as the Head of the Frontline Headquarters of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. In recognition of his services, he was awarded the "For services in the field of military co-operation" medal by No. 0192t order of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on behalf of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dated June 26, 2021. Additionally, he was honored with a Certificate of Merit on the occasion of Victory Day (November 8) by order of the First Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, dated November 4, 2022.
