On December 6, the Institute of Law and Human Rights held an event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the 25th anniversary of the Institute of Law and Human Rights, and Human Rights Day.
Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Law and Human Rights, Mahammad Guluzade, was selected as a member of the Judicial-Legal Council.
A public presentation of the “Virtual Library of Law and Human Rights” organized by the Institute of Law and Human Rights (Institute) and supported by the UN Development Programme was held within the framework of declaring 2023 as the “Year of Heydar Aliyev”. The presentation was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
On July 5, within the framework of the initiative named “Measuring Information Transparency in the Governmental Institutions” there was held a public presentation of the final monitoring report for the period from January 1 to March 31, 2023.
On June 16, Chairman of the Board of the Institute, Mahammad Guluzade, participated in the international conference named "Heydar Aliyev and human rights: the path of development starting from liberation". The conference was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the National Liberation Day and held within the framework of «the Year of Heydar Aliyev".
On June 14, a meeting was held within the framework of the “Human Rights Month” between the Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Law and Human Rights, Mahammad Guluzade and the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan, Gunay Rzayeva.
While being on a business trip, the Head of the Law and Human Rights Institute (Institute) visited Nakhchivan State University (University) within the framework of "Human Rights Month".
The training organized at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on June 14 was the final one in the series of the trainings held by the experts-trainers of the Institute of Law and Human Rights on the “Right to liberty and security of person” for employees of police departments and divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan.
The Institute of Law and Human Rights continued its series of events dedicated to June 18 - National Human Rights Day. Thus, on June 7, a training was held within the framework of the “Human rights month” at the Baku State Vocational Education Center on Public Catering and Service.
On June 7, trainers-experts of the Institute of Law and Human Rights conducted a training for the investigators and inspectors of Gabala District Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
On June 6, trainers-experts of the Institute of Law and Human Rights conducted a training for the investigators and inspectors of the Investigation and Interrogation Body of the Head Police Department of Ganja City of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
On June 6, trainers-experts of the Institute held training for the employees of the Executive Power of the Surakhani district of Baku city. The training covered the topics of “Dealing with citizens' appeals”, “State Service and Corruption”, “Using social media responsibly” and “Perspectives of cooperation of local executive authorities with NGOs”.
On June 2, an international conference dedicated to the 120th anniversary of Sureyya Agaoglu, the first female lawyer of the Turkish states, on "Gender equality as part of international human rights" was held in Baku.
